Micah Pritchett, Coordinating Pastor
Micah was born and raised in Lacey’s Spring, Alabama. Most of his extended family lives in Alabama. Micah completed a degree in Political Science at the University of Alabama where he graduated in 1997 and later received a Masters of Social Work at Baylor University and a Masters of Divinity at Truett Seminary in 2003. Micah was ordained in May 2005 by DaySpring Baptist Church in Waco, Texas. After graduation Micah worked as a social worker for Providence Hospice until he and Elizabeth came to serve at Englewood as Co-Pastors in September 2005.
In his free time Micah enjoys gardening, walking, cooking, reading, and is learning to golf.
Patricia Eccles, Music Director
Patricia was born into a musical family and raised in Hays, a small town in western Kansas. While growing up she and her brothers and sister took music lessons and provided special music at their church’s worship services. Patricia sang in her church choir, which her father directed.
She received a Bachelor’s Degree in music, voice and piano from Fort Hays State University and a Master’s Degree in education from the University of Kansas. In college Patricia was a camp counselor, teaching songs to the campers and playing for worship services at a Church Camp near Stockton, Kansas.
Since graduation, she has been a music teacher and church music director at schools and churches in the Kansas City area. She has been a vocal soloist in churches in Kansas City and has sung sacred songs and spirituals with The Festival Singers of Kansas City and in choirs at The Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception. She and her husband, Tim and their son, Zach, 16, live in Mission. In her free time she enjoys reading and gardening.
Gloria Flanery, Accompanist
Gloria Flanery is a graduate of Central Baptist Theological Seminary with her M.Div. and has a B.A. with music performance emphasis from Vanguard University. She has a heart for mission work, music, and worship.
Gene and Gloria have been married for 34 years. In 1981 they set out with their two very young kids to become missionaries in Mexico. Five years later they moved with their three kids to the Philippines. Their fourth child was born in Cebu, Philippines. They returned to the States in 1998 and settled in Kansas City, KS. Gene has continued to do mission work with World Indigenous Missions.
Music has been a part of who Gloria is and what she does. Whether playing, developing others, or writing, God has used music as an expression of worship, outreach, and healing throughout her lifetime. At Englewood, she is excited to be part of a creative and talented team
Janet George, Church Administrator
Janet recently came to Englewood in August of 2010. After receiving her Bachelor in Education degree from Northeast Missouri State University (now Truman State), Janet taught school for 26 years primarily in grades 4-6. After retiring from teaching, Janet worked for individuals doing painting, wallpapering, staining, refinishing woodwork, etc. She also was Church Secretary at First Baptist Church, Smithville, for 6 years. In her free time, Janet enjoys reading, cooking, walking, and spending time with family. She and her husband, Rick, also like to take “road trips” whenever it is possible. Together they have 5 daughters, 8 grandchildren, and 4 step-grandchildren.
